Thoughts on Women's Entrepreneurship Day - Coeur d'Alene | Spokane

06-Dec-2017 | Jessica L. LaPlante

Jessie LaPlante – Nurse Practitioner

I enjoyed the opportunity to participate in Women's Entrepreneurship Day.  The room was full of so many inspirational ladies that you could not help but feel the energy! The attendants heard many diverse stories from very different personalities, but there was a common theme of strength and passion from each speaker.

It was especially great to hear Jen speak about Active Family.  She has created an independent, nurse practitioner owned and operated clinic that has faced numerous challenges in its young existence. The fact that it has continued to thrive is a testament to Jen's commitment to her patient’s and her vision of what healthcare should be. Active Family Healthcare is a clinic that emphasizes personalized, high quality patient care and I am proud to be a part of it. It was great to see Jen get a moment of recognition for all that she has accomplished.

Breezy Dailey – Office Manager

As the new office manager of Active Family it was exciting to watch my new boss present at such a prestigious event. Jen spoke well and made all of us proud to be apart of what she’s created. As a woman in business I loved listening to the process and inside steps these entrepreneurs took to make their businesses great. From supply chains to social media it was incredible to witness the drive of the women in our local community

Top 3 things I learned that I will initiate in my life and at work.

  1. Find our “tribe” for creating content.
  2. Make real life connections with people and patients.
  3. Create a good morning routine.
